Deep in the woods of the Trelant Forest, one can find among the old-growth, is an unusually loud humming. If one were to look up, you would see large nests up in the trees.
 
The giant wasp averages two feet in length and is constantly hunting, mainly eating other large insects, though it has been known to stray to humanoid prey. When their nests are threatened, they become extremely aggressive using their stingers to inject their deadly poison. They are extremely vulnerable to fire and will seek to cover the nest to protect it.
 
We have found that the best way to collect this poison, is the same method that we use to collect the Nethlok scorpion venom. Due to the giant wasp’s aggressive nature, we use hide-covered cauldrons and place them in areas that they will want to defend. As they attack the cauldron, it fills with their venom and, it alerts us with a simple cantrip. Thus, providing ample opportunity for my apprentices to collect the cauldrons and bring them to you. Corked and sealed in a vial, to preserve its potency. Sufficient for all magical potions, magical studies, and spell components.
